We’re organizing a film festival the way they were meant to be: a weekend event in the woods with food, swimming and books! We’ll be screening the work of filmmakers who have made films just for this event. Given who we are, our theme will be…books!
Selected entries will be shown and judged by a surprise panel at the Rio Theater in Monte Rio, CA on the banks of the beautiful Russian River, and about 1 1/2 hours north of San Francisco, making it a perfect little day trip. The festival will take place on May 9th, 2015, with additional events throughout the weekend to be announced soon. You can spend the day swimming in the river, eating from the Rio’s cafe, and shopping for used books in stands from some of our favorite private booksellers. Our panel of guest judges will consist of some of the artists and personalities we love most from around the world.
